Ecomarine began in 1980 with the goal of making a positive difference in peoples’ lives through ocean kayaking. Through their retail store, lessons and rentals, they have achieved that goal thousands of times. They have taught over 30,000 people through their programs and exposed more than twice that number to kayaking and stand up paddleboarding through rentals. They are proud to offer the best products available for ocean kayaking and standup paddleboarding (SUP) year round at their Granville Island store, and seasonally at their Jericho Sailing Centre location. We’re stoked to have them on board for the 2017 Wavechaser race series! For more information check out their website or talk to one of their staff, you’ll find them helping out at every race.

Vancouver’s low cost ocean community centre for small naturally powered water craft. The Jericho Sailing Centre Association is a not for profit ocean community centre, not a private club. There are no restrictions on the number of members allowed. We sometimes have wait lists for boat storage (ground spaces) or locker rentals, but not for memberships. If you want to learn how to sail, kayak, windsurf, paddle, SUP or skimboard, you can take lessons from one of the schools at Jericho
Established in 1993, the Jericho Paddling Club (JPC) exists to bring the spirit of paddling to the beaches of Jericho. Originally an outrigger canoe club, our goal is to have people enjoy the water, spirit of competition and camaraderie that surrounds outrigger paddling. Whether you are just learning about the sport or are an athlete looking for a new challenge, our club can accommodate you. Training continues year ’round and we participate in local races and as far away as California and Hawaii. Our members’ ages range from the early 20’s to late 50’s, and novices are more than welcome!
To reflect the diversity of paddling today, we renamed Jericho Outrigger Canoe Club to the Jericho Paddling Club in 2014. We hope members enjoy all the club outriggers, surfskis and SUPS.
The Galley Patio and Grill has one of the best locations of any beach-side restaurant in Vancouver. Overlooking English Bay, the North Shore Mountains, Jericho Beach and Pier, you can get the feeling of being on vacation right in your own city. Great food, craft beer, and gorgeous sunset views from the patio make this a perfect spot for post race nosh and beverages. Racers can enjoy 10% off their order on race nights, while the race results and prizes will be awarded on the patio or in the members’ lounge, depending on weather.
